Parisian Hommage to Tahitian Cultured Pearls

An hommage to Tahiti and its pearls has red-lettered the presentation of the Parisian collections fall-winter 2006. The tribute was payed by Eric Tibush, the « new one » in Haute Couture, a designer trained by Jean-Paul Gaultier. The welcome and the music-like atmosphere of his first collection, presented thursday 5th of July at the Lido, have spoused the rhythm of the polynesian islands. Many of his designs were emphasized with Tahitian Cultured Pearls and mother of pearls ornaments as well as the original jeweleries created for this event by Dominique and Natalie Muller.

Another hommage, once more Franck Sorbier payed tribute this year during his presentation of his collection, on Friday 7th of July, at the Cirque d’Hiver. This fashion « poet », who drew Johnny Hallyday’s costumes for his new tour, adores covering with Tahitian Cultured Pearls his different designs or pomp coats just like the one he imagined for Mylène Farmer.A representation of the GIE Perles de Tahiti was partner with these fashion shows, reaffirming how much the Polynesian jewel was more than ever in fashion.
