Jet set and stars celebrated Tahitian Cultured Pearls
Jet setters, American movie stars and Tahitian Cultured Pearls glared during the three events organized in Hollywood ans Las Vegas. The house Tara&Sons, a long time partner with the GIE perles de Tahiti, had acquire to sponsor these exceptional events.
Platinum ring for the Arquette family
The GIE was also partner in its own name, in the sponsoring of this prize-giving, « Platinum Circle », offered to the Arquette family, after Penn and Fonda families, by the American Film Institute testimonial recognition for its creativity in show business. Jane Fonda, Jennifer Aniston, Martin Scorsese or Lawrence Kasdan toke part in the ceremony organized beginning May at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. Pendants with Tahitian Cultured Pearls and diamonds were offered to the female members of the Arquette family and chokers trimed up with Tahitian Cultured Pearls to the male members. A small pleasure bag was given to each celebraty present.
« Life achievement award » for Sean Connery
Another exceptional ceremony organized by the American Film Institute was the prize « Life Achievement Award », given to Sir Sean Connery which grants his whole career. Were standing by near the famous Scottish actor, Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, prior to him at the prize list. More than five hundred guests, of whom one representative of the GIE Perles de Tahiti, toke part in this tribute payed beginning June in the Kodak Theatre salons in Los Angeles. Jean Picker Firstenberg, chairwoman of the Institut and mistress of ceremony, displayed a finery of Tahitian Cultured Pearls created by Tara&Sons. A two hour programme about this event was broadcasted by USA Network.
Poker Tournament for Kings of airs
Less ceremonious but as much appreciated, the Annual Poker Tournament organized mid-June by Warren Buffet for the best clients of his trade aviation company NetJets Inc. The owner of MicroSoft, Bill Gates, and the tennis champion, Pete Sampras, faced each other and played cards with two hundred other VIP guests during three days on the tables of the Wynn Hotel, in Las Vegas. The tokens were offered and among the lustiful prizes given to the winners at the end of the tournament was a design of Tahitian Cultured Pearls and diamonds signed Tara&Sons : « Tahitian Night », a set with a necklace and earings valued at US$ 75,000, around 62 000 euro. Five other designs of high quality were offered to the organizers as to entertain the competition.Tara&Sons, house founded in 1974 in New York, is specialized in high quality pearls and diamonds jewelery.
