MILAN ON 25 SEPTEMBER HOSTED A FABULOUS PARTY FOR THE
TAHITIAN PEARL TROPHY
A FANTASTIC STAR-STUDDED EVENING WITH A TAHITIAN FLAVOUR

On 25 September a fantastic Tahitian themed party was held in Milan for the fourth Tahitian Pearl Trophy to celebrate the 11 top winners, one for each category of the international competition.

The event was held at the Milan Civic Aquarium and the highlights were at 8 pm with a Champagne aperitif offered by Piper Heidsieck, at 9 pm with a super exclusive dinner for one hundred international jet set celebrities and from 10 pm to early morning an open bar and a sensational party, with a dance company – straight from the Polynesian atolls – who danced sensual indigenous dances.

An extraordinary scenic design by Piero Figura, with pearls as the protagonists everywhere, from the walls to the cushions. The jewels seemed to jump out of the display cabinets and dive into the aquarium. Superb lighting with hundreds of white candles and sumptuous, baroque-style equipment added the finishing touches.

The crowd of lucky personalities savoured the refined menu – crayfish medallion with lime and coconut, black rice with shrimps and pineapple, ginger-flavoured seafood tartare, tuna fish in a sesame croûte served on a pink grape fruit carpaccio and a coconut-flavoured dessert (biancomangiare). Among the celebrities were Tarita Brando, the widow of the great Marlon, accompanied by her handsome grandson Tuki, an aspiring model, the writer Antonella Boralevi, Matteo Marzotto, Emanuela Barilla, Francesca Tronchetti Provera, bubbly Marta Marzotto, and Silvia Damiani who wore one of her splendid creations.

Dario Ballantini, special correspondent of Striscia la notizia, acting the part of Valentino Rossi, delighted the guests with a number of gags and jokes.A true feast of creativity and high society with the emphasis on the alluring beauty of the Polynesian islands and the striking jewels.

The evening before, September 24, at the Hotel Principe di Savoia the official awarding ceremony of the contest winners took place. First, second and third ones were awarded for each of the eleven categories. The trophies were given by a charming Tarita Brando, together with Serena Miazzo, the Italian manager of Perles de Tahiti, who, along with Luisa Brugnaro and Gina Pizzeghello, were the directors of the whole event.
