Tahitians Hira Teriinatoofa and Michel Bourez perform well at La Santa Surf Pro
(Tahitipresse) - Tahitians Hira Teriinatoofa and Michel Bourez are among the best surfers competing in big swellat La Santa Surf Pro, in the Canary Islands, surfersvillage reported on its website.
Tahitian surfer Hira Teriinatoofa has always enjoyed big swell and he managed on round 2 to get the best wavescore of the event with a 9.87.
"I'm stoked to surf such waves. This is why we come to the Canary Islands, for power, big surfing and it'sdefinitely here", Hira Teriinatoofa told an ASP TV crew after round 2.
This 4 star WQS event has gathered no less than 96 surfers from around the world.
Meanwhile, the ISA world championships are underway in Huntington Beach, California.
In the women's event, Tahitian surfer Patricia Rossi did well Tuesday and is qualified for round 3.
