Award for Gaia Perez as the youngest designer in the Tahitian Pearl Trophy Italy.

Gaia Perez is the heir of a jewellery dynasty which has handed down to her the secrets of goldsmithery, beginning with her great-grandfather Giuseppe and going down the line to Gaia's father, Pippo.

Gaia, born in 1993, is a student who enjoys designing jewellery. Because she has known jewellery all her life, beginning with her visits to trade fairs at her father's side as soon as she finishes school every June. "I even got my own exhibitor's ID card", says a proud Gaia.
That's why her participation and victory in the fifth edition of the Tahitian Pearl Trophy Italy in the bracelet category are regarded as the first of many official recognitions of the work of the young designer that are to come.

"Black pearls have always fascinated me", says Gaia. "Their tones make me think of mystery", she adds. "The bracelet I designed was born out of the desire to see a piece of jewellery created with some Tahitian pearls, which I received as a birthday gift from my father”.
To the question of how she feels about being the youngest winning designer of the Tahitian Pearl Trophy, she answers, "I thought it was a fantastic way to express my creativity, and that I was giving Dad some support with my little ideas".
