Precious Stones Add Another Dimension

Mixed with diamonds or other precious stones, the Tahiti Cultured Pearl adopts another dimension. It becomes at once both light and dark. The Tahiti Cultured Pearl also is richly presented with such precious metals as gold, platinum and silver.

But women are not the only ones to benefit from Tahiti Cultured Pearl jewellery. The pearl is used in creating men's pendants, tiepins and cuff links. Men seem to appreciate the feeling of self-confidence that the pearl represents for them.

Jewellery designers throughout the world have been challenged and stimulated for centuries by pearls. And while their clients were once the rich kings and queens and aristocracy of the times, today Tahiti Cultured Pearl jewellery is not limited to royalty and only the very wealthy.

For the jewellery designer, the Tahitian pearl is bewitching, challenging every creative instinct in order that the resulting piece of jewellery magically reflects the personality of the woman who will be wearing and cherishing it for the rest of her life.

Vivid demonstrations of such creations are found in the first and second editions of the book "The Tahitian Pearl As Imagined by the Finest Jewellers" (Editions Challenge, Paris, 1995 & 1996).

The G.I.E. Perles de Tahiti in co-operation produced this book with 16 of the world's most famous jewellers for the first edition and 24 of the most famous jewellers for the second edition.
