The undisputed queen of London Fashion Week, proved that black is beautiful by incorporating Tahiti Cultured Pearls in her Autumn/Winter 2002 collection. The New Generation designer and future superstar was sponsored for a second season by Perles de Tahiti in its ever-growing backing of British fashion. Sophia' s collection colours were dark, focusing on black, which was perfectly enhanced by the mysterious qualities of the black-colored pearls that were used throughout. The collection highlights included a khaki green silk print skirt layered with pearls, a mauve silk print dress layered with Tahiti Cultured Pearls and a stunning black wool coat, detailed with black Tahiti Cultured Pearls as buttons.
