Mabe Pearl
These are half-round pearls created by grafting a semi-circular substance on the inner surface of a pearl oyster. This is also known as a blister pearl.

This is the part of the oyster that secretes nacre.
Mantle Tissue Graft
This operation is made on a sacrificed black-lipped oyster by cutting the mantle tissue into pieces measuring 3mm X 3mm. During the operating process the external face of the mantle tissue graft will join the nucleus.
Mikimoto
Kokichi Mikimoto, who conceived the organization of pearl farms, became a promoter of cultured pearls in the early 20th century, thanks to a pearl development process perfected by Tatsuhei Mise and Tokichi Nishikawa.
Momme
A Japanese weight measure. One momme equals 18.75 carats or 3.75 grams.
