A reflection of the national creativity
The IV Edition of the TPT 2005 – México, with this years theme “Fire under Ice”, was successfully held at the plush Bankers Club, one of the most beautiful colonial buildings of Mexico, with over 200 VIP guests and press members. The hosts were Mr. Martin Coeroli (his title in English) and Yuridia Calderón, Perles de Tahiti representative for Mexico.
“We are very pleased to see that the number of participants has increased every time the TPT is held in Mexico, who contribute with their talent and originality, which has earned them several international prizes in the past. We thank them for their contribution and wish them luck at the next international edition that will be held in 2006. This international contest is a great showcase for the Latinamerican jewellers to show their talent to the rest of the world” said Mr. Coeroli to the audience.
The Mexican jewellers participated in 9 of the 10 categories. Fueron nueve las categorías dentro de las cuales se agruparon los diseños de prestigiados joyeros de la ciudad de México y Guadalajara, tales como: Diane Benoit, Samuel Burstein, Eréndira Contis, Vanesa Drummond, Alfredo Faes, Lewis Kant, Rebeca Kant, Leticia Llera; Victoria Roig, Carmen Sandoval, Angela de Sousa, Carmen Tapia y Lilian Uriel.
The members of the jury were well known personalities in the Mexican fashion world from venues such as magazine editors, fashion designers, jewelers. They were: Mónica Benitez; Raquel Birman de Bessudo; Viviana Corcuera; José Dávalos Huerta; Fernanda Familiar; Macario Jiménez; Alma Delia Pacheco; Cristina Pineda Antunez; Mari Paz Sardina de Ocejo and Gina Ureta Moreno.
