ROBERT WAN
Jewelry in Vogue Gioiello. Wearing jewelry furnished by Tahiti Perles, a Robert Wan Company, local aspiring top models were presented in eight full pages of Vogue Gioiello. The Vogue article described the jewelry provided by Robert Wan, "the master of Polynesian pearls", as including "an up-to-date style for chokers, pendants, earrings and rings with a modern, linear design; timeless classicism for multi-stringed neck-laces and bracelets where the endless nighttime shades of the mysterious Pinctada Margaritifera dominate". The colors of the Tahitian pearls ranged "from very light gray to anthracite, with blue, brown, peacock green and aubergine variants... "Extraordinary pearls which in Tahiti everyone, be they men or women, young or old, wears with self-assuredness, as though they were personal irremissible amulets."
