The World Champion Tour is the international championship of surfing. Only the world’s surfing Elite participate in this championship. The male pro circuit selects 45 surfers for 12 events across the world. To attain membership into this global elite, one must participate in the World Qualifying Series (WQS), the international qualifying round. The victorious winner of the WQS receives $260,000.

Our second international campaign meeting is again with a Tahitian Pearl Free Spirit. This time, we get to know the Prince of the Waves, Tahitian Pearl Prince Hira Teriinatoofa, at the Billabong Pro Tahiti, from May 5 through 17 at Teahupoo, Tahiti.

Hira the outsider, the 2004 International Surfing Association Amateur World Champion, was the Billabong Pro Tahiti 2004 Wild Card. Now he enters the prestigious Billabong team, which earns him a Wild Card for the second time, now at the Billabong Pro Tahiti 2005.
