Wind surfing Tow in at Havae

Robert Teriitehau, ambassador for the Tahitian Pearl World wide, five times free style windsurf world champion, is no more looking for pro circuit challenge, but is now engaged with the most special waves of the blue planet, with the shivering and powerful tahitian Hava'e after the sumptuous and tumultuous hawaiian Jaws.
Robert Teriitehau, the most radical fun boarder, have been spot twice in his homeland in Tahiti at Teahupoo.

The days is on: Pull down by 2 jets, the prince of the wind springs on a massive 15 foot wave under the amazed eyes of Yannick Place and of Thierry Donard of "La nuit de la glisse", privileged witnesses of a "perfect moment".

Tahiti - Teahupoo, September 11, 2005

The prince of the wind answered the call of the swell after a long waiting period. It has been a full day of surf tow in when it happened. Because of an offshore wind, the fight was short and the crash was spectacular. It was a crashing kiss.

The Hava'e epic wave: "Shoot or die !"

The wave can reach more than 15 foot height, of 60 foot long, breaking directly on the reef, known as "insane". A very few people got the respect from it, as Laird Hamilton, Jason Polakow, Liam, Macnamarra and some others. The elite of surfing and the international fund boarders discovered it in 1990 and since 1998, the site hosted a World surfing championship event.

Who is Robert Teriitehau?

Robert Teriitehau was born in New Caledonia from Tahitian parents. He lives in Hawaii, in the island of Maui and remains very attached to his Polynesian roots. Child of the islands, the sea is his natural element. Teenager, then champion of skate board, he dreamed of giants waves. In 1983, at Diamond Head, he pushed his chance and entered the windsurf world cup. Since, he integrates the closed loop of the pros and follows his dream of adrenaline. Nourished by the waves of Hookipa, he dreams of "jaws" and the break of Hava'e.
His tahitian totem is the shark and just like him, he travelled following the swells to challenge the most dangerous spots on the planet. His only weaknesses are : the blue planet, the family and the children.
